Here is an easy recipe for a beloved appetizer: stuffed grape leaves. These are so flavorful and satisfying, make a bunch for any party.

  • 1 jar grape leaves
  • 2 lb. ground sirloin
  • 1 lb. ground lamb
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 lemon

  1. Mix all the ingredients except garlic and lemon.
  2. Drain and rinse the grape leaves.
  3. Place 1 grape leaf down with 1 tbsp. of mixture.
  4. Roll up the leaf tucking in the sides.
  5. Place seam side down in a pot.
  6. Continue to roll stacking leaves on top of each other.
  7. Place water in the bottom of pot.
  8. Squeeze lemon and add 2 cloves of garlic in pot.
  9. Bring to a boil and reduce heat for 40 minutes. Serve with squeezed lemon.
